Dear Ram Parents,
I am honored to be joining the Mayde Creek Family; there has
never been a better time to be a Ram!
After spending a week with our staff, it is evident I am surrounded by
professionals who are committed to the common belief that Mayde Creek is a
great place to learn and grow due to the
students, staff, and parents who work together and constantly strive to pursue
excellence in all endeavors. Everyone genuinely
cares about one another and is eager to help those in need.
A new school year is always filled with the hope and
anticipation of all the many great opportunities and challenges to come as we
enter our 33rd year. Our
Theme for the 2016-2017 school year is “Mayde to Build a Legacy.” As you know Mayde Creek will be undergoing a
$51 million renovation during the upcoming years. Although this construction will provide many
challenges, we will soon have a newly renovated state of the art facility for
our students, staff, and community to enjoy; however, the heart and soul of any
great school is determined by those who walk the halls each and every day.
We are fortunate to have some of the most dedicated students
and staff who work together to make Mayde Creek a great place to learn. As a community of learners, we will continue
to strive to build a legacy through engaging instructional practice and
providing timely feedback to help our students have success.
We are looking forward to a great year as we strive for
success academically as well as in our athletics, fine arts, and UIL
activities. Our pursuit of excellence
with help create a positive climate on campus to give our students a sense of
belonging to the Mayde Creek Family. Please
encourage your child to get involved in at least one of the many clubs or
activities offered at Mayde Creek in order to maximize their high school
experience. The memories and positive
relationships will leave a legacy that will last a lifetime.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Mayde Creek Family and
looking forward to getting to know everyone as we work together to “Build a
Legacy” at Mayde Creek High School.
Go Rams
Ronnie Edwards
